towns -- and Paris
Our last trip was May 8th to 23rd, 2017, and was to the South Central part of France, sometimes known
It is an exciting part of France which includes
the best preserved Medieval Fortress in Europe, and the
towns and some of the highest and most spectacular chateaux
visited some of the most beautiful villages in France --St.
Circq La Popie, the favorite
village of native French travelers, Montauban,
where the Mona Lisa was hidden from the Nazis,
and its Champollion museum and Rosetta Stone mold,
and its outstanding open air market,
and its collection of Spanish paintings, and finally we took a
peaceful boat ride on the
Lot River. Of course,
wel finished the trip as always with several days in
romantic Paris, and saw some of the off-the-beaten-path favorite Parisian
traveled by car, and paused en route whenever we felt like it.
There were no big bus loads of tourists or rigid itineraries
and stops - we traveled where we wanted when we wanted.
